What do you do when your life seems to be a never ending to-do list, blurring together the days of the week, when before you know it, it’s another year? Life is pretty hectic at times…okay most of the time, and the struggle for some downtime seems to be less of a reality than ever before.
I’ve been pretty stressed these past few months trying to balance school, church, work, and my personal life all in one. I know this may sound ridiculous, but, don’t stress.
Pretty sure God said it best, in John 14:27 it says “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” What He is is saying is that He will only give you peace, and the troubles and problems of the world will never come from Him. There will never be a reason for God to give you troubles, but only help, guidance, assurance, and more for dealing with those problems.
Sure, there will be tests of faith, but only if your mind and heart is set right with the Lord will you be able to overcome those obstacles. Just like in James 1:2-4 it says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
- Pray for guidance on how to deal with your obstacles in life.
- Know that God has a plan, and He will not give you anything in life that you cannot handle.
- Trust in Him and
- Have faith, and patience.
A little real life example here. When I know it’ll be a busy day, I make it a point to wake up early in the morning. I do my schooling from about 8-12, but usually it finishes earlier. After that I get ready for work, but bring my laptop with me to finish any work I have to do on my breaks. If it’s a day I go to church, I make it a point to finish everything I possibly can before going, because once I’m at church, I don’t want to focus on the stresses I have on the outside.
Life can be a balancing act more often than not, and with the right scheduling, patience, and stress relievers, and LOTS of praying, you will be set on the right path to battling stress.
