Craft Mysteries: Spray Foam Edition

Who knew that spray foam would work for our art project?? Spray foam insulation is a thing that seals cracks and gaps in areas of your house. But low and behold, with the help of my cousin, boyfriend, Lowes, and a few others, I became fond of this little spray. It spews out sticky foam that eventually expands into a hard-but-spongy foam.

See, our theme this year for vacation bible school was scientist theme. The teachers have a competition every year on who makes the best sign for their grade-level. My cousin had this fabulous idea to draw beakers and test tubes spewing out a cool concoction unto our poster! That’s where the spray foam comes in.Screen Shot 2015-06-16 at 10.23.35 PM

Here’s C working hard on coloring that dang foam. It was SO messy! WARNING: Do not get on your hands. I had the pleasure of getting some on my fingers, and spent hours after soaking it in hot water and soap.
